Seat Hitting Harness Attach Points

I have tried to find info on this subject and have drawn a blank.
I have Classic Aero interior. Yesterday I was trying out different
seating arrangements and when I move the back of the seat to the most aft
hinge point, the bottom of the seat back hits the two attach points.
I have Crow harnesses and I have the point bolted in place angled
toward the lap area. The seat is hitting the Crow attach point where
it bolts to the Vans points. Keeps the seat from flopping back against
the cross member.
Can one just bend the attach points out? I need about 1" on each side.
Or is there something else I can do?

I had a similar issue on my -7 during construction (Classic Aero Aviator Seats / Hooker Belts). I shortened and redrilled my attach brackets to move the attach point down and aft away from the seat. Worked great.
 
Hi Bert,

Just saw this. Aviator seats are different that standard seats because they use our custom backrest frame. We wanted to make the backrest tilt forward easier than the stock frame (just for easier access to things back there). When you tilt the stock backrest forward, it has to compress the back part of the seat cushion, and also the backrest cushion.

To avoid this, we moved the hinge point forward in relation to the rest of the seat. You'll notice that if you look at the part of the frame where the hinge attaches, it is angled forward. It's shifted forward 1.5", or 1 hinge position. What this means is that if you put the hinge of an Aviator seat in the middle hinge, it's the same as putting the stock seat in the rear hinge. If you put the Aviator in the rear hinge, it is at a steeper angle then any of the stock seat locations (we don't really recommend the back hinge with the Aviator, but some customers use it). feels the best. If I end up using the back position, then Dan, your fix
is easy to do.
