Exclamation Garmin at EAA AirVenture 2022 - Seminar Schedule

Greetings VAF!,

It's hard to believe that OSH is just over 2 weeks away! I wanted to post a link to the full seminar schedule that will be available to interested attendees during the week of AirVenture 2022. The Garmin seminar tents 1 and 2 will be located just south of the main Garmin showcase tent (with air conditioning!).

We are greatly looking forward to catching up with our customers and friends throughout the week. Be sure to come say hi to all of us on Team X! Our training team has also been hard at work this year - here are some of the specific training and seminar opportunities that will be of value to the EAB community. Monday, July 25th

Seminar Tent 1
8 a.m. - Introduction to the GFC 500 and G3X Autopilot. Garmin experts will walk through the ins and outs of the GFC 500 and G3X Autopilot, and how to best utilize them in your missions. (Certified GFC/G3X focus, but still very applicable to experimental G3X/Autopilot)
2 p.m. - Builder Your Plane, Build Your Panel: Garmin Experimental Avionics. Building an Airplane? Hear from an experienced builder how to choose the right Garmin options for your project and mission.

Seminar Tent 2
8 a.m. - G3X Touch Academy: Planning your installation. Understand the basics of designing a G3X Touch system for your aircraft, including which components are required and intial installation planning.
9 a.m. - G3X Touch Academy: Installation Fundamentas - What is Serial Data? Take a deep dive on system datapath types. How does my system communicate and where does data go? Learn how here.
10 a.m. - G3X Touch Academy: Instroduction to Flying with G3X Touch. Familiarize yourself with the basics of flying behind G3X Touch, including various pilot configurable options.


Tuesday, July 26th

2 p.m. - Builder Your Plane, Build Your Panel: Garmin Experimental Avionics. Building an Airplane? Hear from an experienced builder how to choose the right Garmin options for your project and mission.

Seminar Tent 2
8 a.m. - G3X Touch Academy: Autopilot Tuning. Learn how to best configure your G3X Autopilot, and how to optimize your usage while in the air.
9 a.m. - G3X Touch Acedemy: Installation Fundamentals - GPS Navigators and System Interface. Take a deep dive on interfacing G3X Touch to your navigation system.
10 a.m. - G3X Touch Academy: Databases and Connext. Garmin Experts walk through database options for your G3X Touch, how to install them, and explore Connext wireless connectivity.


Wednesday, July 27th

Will there be videos of these presentations made available after Air Venture for those of us who can't make it to OSH this year?

The live OSH seminars will not be recorded/posted. However Garmin Aviation Training's YouTube Channel continues to be populated with these type training modules in webinar form. I would look for future updates post-OSH on their availability.

Would be nice to get similar sessions on the 2 inch navigators like the 175 and 375 and operational hints with the integration of the 760 as a larger display and control element.

2nd this! Even Youtube is lacking in training on the 375.
