Vetterman crossover

Good morning!
I have just installed my Vetterman crossover exhaust on my IO-360 M1B. RV7A. I have the standard Van's firewall forward set up. The exhaust hanging kit and sketch instructions talk about vertical/horizontal support. Is it one or the other or both? The kit components lead me to believe it's an either/or setup. What say all?

I secured the tailpipes on my -7 to the back of the engine and then tied them together at the back. All done with the kit provided by Vetterman. Seems to be standard.

Yes, what Bill did is correct. The clamps get a horizontal brace between the two pipes, and vertical braces to convenient sump bolts. Much better to tie the exhaust to the engine than the engine mount.

What Steve shows is the best way. I don't know why anyone would consider any other way.
