Aileron Rigging - What's stopping them
What is limiting the travel of your ailerons? I.E what is causing them to stop before they reach full travel?
OK so that really was the right question.
Laugh with me or at me if you will.
I got home from work today having stressed about this all day. I checked the bell cranks - no interference there. I checked the control column, no interference there.
I went out to the tip of the right wing. Sitting under the wing is a plastic rubbish bin!! It was touching the leading edge of the right aileron at "full" deflection. Remove the bin and now I'm getting close to 35 degrees up on both wings and 14.9 to almost 17 degrees down.
What a goose. I don't mean to insult geese.
Stand down. Problem solved.
