Default Aluminum in Oregon?

I'm in need of a largish sheet of 2024-T3 for something I'm fabricating... before I place an online order from one of the usual suspects and get hit with a big freight bill, does anybody know of a place in western Oregon / the greater PDX area that sells small quantities of alclad?

thanks,
mcb

Try Airparts. Not local to you but much lower shipping than most places.

Van's Aircraft should be able to get you what you want in the size you want.

Go to "The List" and search for 2024.

You should then get something like the following Copy/Paste:

*** Ordering 2024-T3 Sheet Aluminum by the Square Foot ***

Our 2024-T3 sheet aluminum has a plastic coating on both surfaces.
Cut to your dimension. An additional cutting charge will be
applied to your order in addition to the cost of the aluminum sheet.
Place your desired cut dimension in the notes area which is Step 5
of your final order.

The 2024-T3 sheet aluminum is priced per square foot.
The Web Store does not allow ordering quantities that are not whole
numbers. As a workaround, please select 1 which equals (1sq.ft.),
click "Add Item", then change the quantity to the desired amount when
your shopping cart is displayed.

!!! Please Remember !!!
Click "recalculate" after changing a quantity in your cart.

Here's a brief example of ordering some 2024-T3 sheet aluminum.
I am ordering a piece of 2024-T3 with a thickness of .016
The size I want the sheet cut to is 2' X 1'
The order is below.

Part Number Qty.
AS3-016 VV CUT 2

In the notes area which is Step 5 of the final ordering process.
I would place a note stating: *** Cut AS3-016 to 2' X 1' ***

The only Airparts I'm aware of is located in Kansas City. Is there another company by the same name in Oregon that I haven't discovered?

Aha, it never occurred to me that they'd sell random quantities. That will be perfect since Van's is only a short drive from me. Thanks!

Pacific Metal Company in Tualatin has a remnants rack right inside the shipping and receiving door. There is usually sheet metal there but you just have to rifle through the stuff to see what’s there. You could call them to see if they sell the Alclad sheet metal.
