Engine install

Working on the 8 with a new IO360 M1B. I am curious as to why we run hoses to a manifold on the fire wall to just install sensors for fuel pressure, oil pressure etc and not just put the sensor on the engine and avoid the hoses and fittings? Looking for advise on this and some do nots! Thanks

Vibration

The main reason for putting the sensors on the firewall and not on the engine is to isolate them from vibration, which can shorten their life. The sensors do not like vibration!
