What did you do with your RV this weekend? (12/25/21 - 12/26/2021)
Probably not a lot of flying this weekend with it being Christmas and all, but I thought I would start a thread anyway.

Christmas 2021 Short Flight
I managed a brief flight after the blizzard. Rust Prevention Program has to continue till new engine arrives
The turbulence was very strong above 1000 feet agl. Flew at manuvering speed mostly.
Had to cut it short.

Had to divert Christmas Eve due to RVR of 1300 and dropping. Picked up airplane Christmas Day and started oil change.
I'm going to try out the "Experimental" version of the Challenger Oil filters. These are the exact parts from CP-48103C, without the PMA sticker, and about 1/2 the price...

Sewing seats.
I have no idea what I am doing, but when my butt is in the seat, nobody will see. So just gotta fly more.

Weather was too nice not to fly. Went for a little joy ride.

We should bring back flight art. I think there used to be a thread on this. It was kind of fun looking at the art and creativity of everyone.

We missed a white Christmas by about 2 miles, but it was beautiful out.

I flew my -8 from Houston up to McKinney to spend Xmas with my Mom; up and back for a quick visit, it beats driving and the airlines… yay RVs!

Didn't get any meaningful work done on the airplane, but did manage a quick photo shoot outside the hangar this afternoon, between pesky holiday distractions. Getting closer...

I found some rather pretty fog and made a short video of it! https://youtu.be/41OOB31kNRY
