Google shows lots of hit on the O-233. What plane would you be putting it in? I wouldn’t consider anything less than an O-320 in any Vans airplanes besides the -12.
If you really want an engine in this horsepower and weight category get a L series 0 235 out of a Cessna 152 or Piper Tomahawk. Lycon can probably help with lightweight components and the lightweight ring gear support is available from at least one other source.
Thanks Avengerboss. This is exactly what I was curious about. Very little news, even on Lycoming's page. Do you know if it was due to lack of interest or reliability issues?
