Hi everyone. I’m wondering if I’ve installed the flat springs in the right place. The places in the Kai figures where the pipes connect don’t seem to match my pipes. Here’s some pics. Any feedback appreciated.

Thanks
Rob

From my interpretation of the instructions, those are the correct locations. But you may not want to put them on yet. It looks like you've just got the exhaust in place and don't have the surrounding systems installed yet. It's going to get a bit crowded in this area, and you'll likely want to adjust the exhaust to maximize clearances as these other systems go in.

I'm about a week ahead of you. I initially installed the flat springs, but have since pulled them back off to make adjustments. I plan to put them back on once everything is locked down.

Also your heat shield is in the wrong location. While the instructions in section 48 clearly show to mount it here, later instructions in section 50 indicate it should be installed further up.

Here's a picture from subpar_bucker's thread. (https://vansairforce.net/community/s...d.php?t=214616) This shows that part of the engine, and how crowded it's going to get.
