What goes in the weird figure 8 looking hole in the right side bulkhead under the panel?
Nothing. This plane is a rebuild project. I'm the second owner. I'll probably build a filler piece for both of those formers as I'm not using any of the old controls or switches.

Default canopy skirts

We started the process of laying up the fiberglass canopy skirts. Thanks goes to Axel's great tutorial. We followed his process except instead of using a mold release we used clear packing tape over the duct tape. the glass released just fine.
It still needs to be trimmed. we will leave it alone for a few days to let the resin fully cure.

It only took three weeks of sanding and filling but I can now say that the outer canopy skirt is finished. Being a fastback, I had to completely fabricate the frame from scratch. I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

I can see this 4 is going to be sweet, and I really like that angled panel.

Default Progress on tanks...

The interior ribs are in! I tried masking everything off. Might have helped some.

Default Slosh Removal

The next big project on my re-build is tank slosh removal. I know that the preferred way is to cut access panels in the back bulkhead big enough to get you hands inside. Has anyone just removed the entire back bulkhead? I also have a few leaking rivets to deal with, so it may just be easier to open up the entire back side then re-seal.
