Default Pima Air Museum

Last winter my father and I visited the Pima Air Museum. Dad flew B-26s in Korea, B-36s and B-52s after the war..

Dad and B-26

Dad and B-36

Now to get inside the cockpit of the B-36 to see if anything is restored. I am imagining something like my visit to the Spruce Goose cockpit. I have a plan.............to be continued.

Default not a hat

It was snowing today and man can not live on RV's alone. So We took the grandkids snowboarding. Here's a phone pic of my board...at least I was thinking about VAF. 10" of fresh powder is almost as good as flying

At "The Gun Store" in Las Vegas a couple weeks ago. They do a good business. There was a two hour wait on a Monday Afternoon. I picked the WWII package, which was a Colt 1911, an MP40 (pictured) and a Thompson. The Thompson is a beast, and really heavy.

Default flying kids with cancer

By rv8karsten at 2012-05-24
This is how a kid (Markus Berg) looks like after a trip in an aircraft in the West of Germany.
I am curious how this boy will smile when my RV-8 get finished and I promised him one of the first rides.
We are flying kids with cancer now for 9 years.
Maybe next year I fly these kids with the 8!

Thumbs down From a land far away

I haven't been able to build for a year now. I'm on my second deployment in the last 12 months. I can't wait to get home and get going again.
