On March 29th slow-build project S/N 140184 was officially pronounced an airplane by Vern Darley. Great guy and tons of RV-specific knowledge. I was very confident in my work after his inspection.

April 7th around 4PM...I’m 3,500 MSL over west Georgia in an airplane I took out of boxes piece by piece and put together with the help of a wonderfully supportive family and some pretty awesome neighbors. (Also Vans, Lycoming, Steinair, Emagair, Garmin, Flightline Interiors, B&C, Airflow Perf, TS Flightlines)

33 hours of phase I to go, then paint.
One of the coolest things was looking out at the trailing edge of the wing with the flaps in reflex. Arrow straight from root to tip. . Fun to fly? Yeah baby!!
