Hat sighting SkyManor
VAF was represented well today at the SkyManor fly-in. Five of the 6 awards were RVs.

David, as I was flying home I had an idea that we should have staged the 4 trophy winners behind us and took a good group photo. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess. Anyway, what a nice surprise that my "Tweety" bird was recognized. Thanks to those fine folks at Sky Manor fly-in.

Mt. Rushmore
 Mary and I were able to make it to Mt. Rushmore while at the Vetterman fly-in. Here we are at the base of Mt. Rushmore. The scale of the sculpture is amazing. Pictures or views of it on TV do not do it justice. If you get a chance to make it up to Mt. Rushmore it is well worth the trip. |
