I've installed all my camlocs (Skybolt fasteners) on the cowling, and am now ready to fill in some areas with epoxy/microballoons to make all surfaces (top and bottom) align and be smooth/faired/etc.
Any tips for preparation/cleaning/filling/sanding before I start?
I have to build up the top edge of the lower cowl along the split line in a few places just a bit to make the two halves match (riveting on the attach plates caused a little bit of misalignment of the bottom cowl, about 1/16-1/8" in a few places), and I need to fill in and sand down the forward outboard portions of the inlets (which never did match, a much bigger gap there).
Any general tips or tricks are much appreciated!
