Whelen A500 Tail light/Strobe attachment

How is the whelen tail light/strobe attached to the rudder fairing?
Maybe I'm missing something here.

I don't have access behind the fairing to attach & anchor the 2 small screws that join the base with lens cover .

I'm thinking a tinnerman or a small diameter nutplate?
Epoxy a nut to the inside?

I epoxied two small nuts into the fiberglass from the inside of the opening. I fit the light into the fairing, then drilled out the holes into the fiberglass. I gouged out the inside to fit the nuts, then applied epoxy to the nuts and held them in place with the screws. I put some grease on the screws so the glue would not cure to them. After they cured in place, I added additional glue to set them in solid. Worked just fine.

I cut the corner off a peice of aluminum angle, drilled and tapped them held them in place with the screws and JB welded them into the inside of the cap.

Thanks to all that responded.
I fabricated a bracket, jb welded the nuts to the back.
Complete.
