I've gotten word this early morning that our friend has passed from injuries resulting in the crash back in April. He was a loving Father, Husband, and Friend to many people and will be missed dearly.

Thread about the crash

From the Family in an email:

Our Bob passed away at 10:30 p.m. tonight, June 20, 2009. He was getting
dialysis when his heart stopped. He was briefly revived but lost his pulse
again. He was so brave for so long - 11 weeks today. He was just worn out
and slipped away. To all his friends and family, we share your grief at
losing Bob - husband, father, son, brother, pilot, friend.

Last year Shirley and Bob planned for burial in Indiantown Gap National
Cemetery (www.cem.va.gov/CEM/cems/nchp/indiantowngap.asp) in Annville,
Pennsylvania, 25 miles northeast of Harrisburg International Airport. We
don't have a date for the graveside service and internment yet.

Cards may be addressed to Shirley Brandt, 2319 Pleasant Creek Drive,
Kingwood, TX 77345.

Blessings and many thanks for all the support and prayers through Bob's
ordeal.
