This is a cool event, and they are having trouble getting enough pilots signed up. Details follow:
Hi Pilot Friends
Day in the Sky Watsonville 5 is less than a month away, on Saturday April 18, 2009. Yikes, where did the year go? Seems like yesterday we were hosting last year's event in Watsonville.
We expect to take a bunch more kids with disabilities flying this year. I wouldn't be at all surprised if we flew 750 people thru the day this year. This will be our 5th event at Watsonville, but it'll mark our 7th total event in Northern California (1 big event in Hayward 2006 and 1 big event in San Jose 2008). All of the kids-with-disabilities lists in the Bay Area and the Central Coast are buzzing about Day in the Sky, and I'm getting flooded with requests for flights. Word is really getting out!
We need all the pilots we can get to accomodate what we figure will be our hugest bunch of kids ever! So far, pilot signup has been a little slower than past years. So we need help.
So if you have not yet signed up, please sign up online asap so we can get the due diligence paperwork out of the way.

Either way, please do me a favor: please spread this invitation to your friends and fellow pilots, and please post on any aviation-related list you happen to belong to. In fact, does anybody have access to the Burning Man Pilot's lists, or the Silicon Valley GA list? Please forward this inviation email and ask pilots to fly with us. They won't regret joining us!
Hope to see you Saturday April 18, 2009 in Watsonville WVI. Pilot brief 8am, first wheels up at 9am, we fly till about 5pm-ish or until we've run out of kids to fly. Come and go if you please. If you can arrive after 8am, no problem, we'll give you an individualized briefing whenever you arrive. Same with departures, if you need to leave early, no worries, leave whenever you need to. Even if you can fly 1 flight, that'd be awesome.
Even if you can't fly with us, please consider coming down and helping with flight school, or just hanging out and telling flying stories to the captivated kids.
