APRS equpment in rudder botton fairing

Except running extra wire to the back of the fuse and to constantly moving rudder, what are other arguments against installing complete APRS system in fiberglass rudder bottom?

How practical would it be? I am seriously considering this installation. My wingtips are of riveted type and I cannot install the system there.

The rudder fairing would not be long enough to get an antenna in there.
That would be your only problem.
