This morning I started the day by bringing up the APRS site and inserted dcu for our local aerodrome, Pryor Field, Decatur, Alabama.
Lo and behold it recognized it plus displayed a balloon with the name of the airport and the lat and long coordinates. I tried it for a few other airports and it seems to work on all the alpha designators. I haven't tried other countries yet.
That's a major step forward since the last time I tried it. It seems to work only with both the four letter (kdcu) or the three letter (dcu) id. Alpha-numerics don't seem to work.
