hi all,

Just would like to receive performance information from guys using a 180hp engine. What propeller are you using? what performance and fuel burn?

I am into ordering a new engine from aerosport to change my actual 125HP, just dont know if Worth more an IO360 than a IO320.

My main mission is mid cross-country (200/300nm). If i put a IO360 and put the trothle a little back it worths more than a IO320 with 75% power? The fuel burn will be around the same? What about the engine working in less RPM?

Personally, I like the 180hp engine the best of any of lyc's designs. You could pick up a setup out of a 172R and restrict your prop to 2400rpm which would:

Cut down on noise
Provide higher SFC
Keep within the design limits of the 9

I would suggest a CS prop either way, but thats just my preference. To me it provides easier engine managment throughout the flight profiles.
