Wing root fairing gap seal

This can't be a new problem, I'm sure someone has solved it before, so there ain't no need to reinvent the wheel! Several -8's in the area, including mine, are having trouble keeping the gap seal on the wing root fairing underneath the wing. We've tried gluing them on, but they still come loose.
I'd appreciate knowing what others have done.
