RV-6A left elevator updated design

I am in the process of replacing a damaged left elevator on my RV-6A. The elevator I'm replacing was built from 1992 plans. The new skin I purchased from Van's PN E-601PP-L-020 has a large opening for the trim tab control rod to pass thru, unlike the original layout, and the cut outs for the trim tab cable are relocated futher outboard. Also, the E-608 rib that the trim tab control rod passes thru on the original elevator does not appear to be the correct rib for this new .020 skin. Is there a fairing that covers this large prepunch hole for the trim tab rod? What is the part number? Is there an updated rib design to replace the original E-608 rib? part number? Help!! I got to get my bird back in the air.
