OK, dumb question real quick.:)

Is the A/P disc. switch on the stick a normally open or closed switch?

Normally open momentary for Dynon servos.

It's normally open, and momentary ground to airframe to trigger the disconnect. If you have multiple disconnect switches connect them in parallel, so that any one of them can trigger the disconnect.

To the OP: notice the responders said ?momentarily? closed to disconnect. On some brands/models of autopilots holding this switch closed for longer (seconds or more) will result in the autopilot re-engaging on switch release. (?Control wheel steering?).

The autopilot disconnect switch should be a normally open momentary switch for the G3X Touch Autopilot.

When momentarily depressed, the input on the servos is grounded and the autopilot is disconnected. If Control Wheel Steering is enabled, pressing and holding the switch will trigger CWS mode. For more information on Control Wheel Steering, see page 307 of the G3X Touch Pilot's Guide (http://static.garmin.com/pumac/190-01754-00_m.pdf), Rev. M.

Thanks,

Justin
