"Historically, builders and owners of experimental aircraft have been able to install avionics that meet the performance standards of certified equipment but are not specifically approved by the FAA.

Translation?

Does this mean that my RV-12's all-Dynon ADSB-in/ADSB-out equipment is good enough for who its for, and good enough for the FAA?
