Polishing info and products

My folks own an Airstream trailer. I mentioned to them over the holidays that there was quite a bit of discussion about plane polishing, and he pointed out the site he uses for polishing products. I'm not affiliated with it at all, but he's had good luck buying from them. He polished his entire Airstream that had some pretty bad corrosion on it.

Polishing

I own an Airstream and have not yet committed to starting an RV. Many of us in the Vintage Airstream Club have explored every resource available to determine the best and easiest methods to acheive a mirror finish on 2024-T3 (.032") alclad aluminum. I have found Tom Numelin's (PerfectPolish) website to be the best and use the same materials and techniques that he suggests. They are improvements upon the Swift method since trailer owners can be much more free to experiment than certified aircraft owners. There is NO EASY WAY, but Tom outlines the easiest way to obtain the best results (IMO). Other polishing pioneers are Arlen & Shirley Manning of Napa, CA. They own a Luscombe and an Airstream and have detailed their findings on a website. Shirley came up with a unique way to wrap sweatshirt material around a Cyclo polisher which has now become the 'Shirley' method:

Based on my pretty extensive polishing experience I would be happy to answer any generic questions you my have.
