contol wheel steering

I have a TruTrak EFIS GP (no longer available, but hopefully supported). It has control wheel steering wire to the control stick. My Ray Allen control stick grips have only the one buttom for comm. Question: Is hooking up the control switch an important thing to do? I will be flying vfr only.
Appreciate the feedback.

Nah....i have the CWS button on my stick and mostly use it to disconnect the A/P. I have a bunch of buttons on my stick so I wanted to control the A/P from there too.

Can I reach up about a foot to the panel and disconnect the A/P? Yup.....I just did it cause I thought it would be cooler and make my airplane go faster! :D

Plus we all know when we build we like to increase the time spent on mods!

Mark, don't worry, the EFIS GP will be supported into the future.

The CWS is mostly handy for AP disconnect and I think that's how most customers use it. For that reason, I would put it on the stick.
