Building RV's in the Philippines

Hi,
I live in Hong Kong and wish to build an RV 7 or 8.
I am interested in the Philippines as it close to HK and cheaper to rent build space etc.
I know that a lot of the quick builds assembly is done there now but does anyone know of someone who has built an RV and flown it there to get an idea of the possible benefits/pitfalls involved ??
Sounds like a good idea ....

Contact Hank Cheng on these forums. He is pretty far along on an RV8 in Hong Kong. I believe he is the first to be building there. His screen name is

The first to build a RV in Hong Kong is Ray Jarvis. He started his RV8 in the late 1990s, the plane is now in Australia.
