Good deal on fuel near OBE if you trailer it

If you trailer or buy your fuel in containers, Gilbert Oil in Okeechobee has 100LL for 4.70/ gal. after the surface tax is waived. You have to tell them the fuel is for an aircraft and fill out a short form with your address and the N number. Really nice folks as well. They will soon install a card reader so you can buy fuel anytime, but right now it's during business hours

Too far for me to drive, but it's in flying range!

I consider it free flying when it's $1.50 or more cheaper and within 1hr flight!

My field is $7.33 and 12 minutes west it's only $4.40 (updated 11/04 $4.30)... Hmmm?

Used to be OBE and Gilbert Oil would be pretty close to each other in price. but it's over a buck thirty difference now. And PHK used to be cheap, but 2IS has got them all beat! Your'e at North County? I'm at FD88, looks about the same distance for me, and it's within my phase one area by 4 NM! Thanks!
