Throttle quadrant

I am looking at an RV 4 that has the throttle and mixture controls (fixed pitched) on the right side.

Is it a "major" undertaking to change it to the left side? Can it be done with minimal surgery?

Thanks!

Whether it is or not, I'd move them. They belong on the left! :)

Actually if the cables pass thru anywhere near the center of the firewall it shouldn't be a problem. If not, you may have to get longer control cables.

He's right.

I'll second that, Scott, for sure. In fact, this alone disqualifies a 6 for me. Yoke - left, throttle - right. Stick - right, throttle - left... always. Am I being dogmatic?

Be Careful...

I looked at that same airplane for a friend, he bought another one....look close!
