Desperately seeking engine right angle drive fitting for the tachometer drive out the back of an O-360 engine. This is sold by Aircraft Spruce under the part number of 10-00814, but not in stock and is on back order for 3 more months and I am grounded without it. I am converting over to an electronic tach (UMA brand) and the sender interferes with my installed oil filter adapter. This fitting I need will solve my problem without installing a new filter arrangement. I hope there is someone out there who has a used or new one available. I'm in St Louis and need it bad. NAME YOUR PRICE.

I think there are several versions on eBay.

Most speedo cables use a square tang on the end of the cable. Lycoming, oddly, needs a round one with a tab.
However... GM makes an adapter that fits over the square tang.
Texas Industrial Electric HM146 adapter. [$35 for 2] GM # 25032338 "speedometer drive key"

I used that to install this sender: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/IZL-S9013

Texas Industrial Electric has a huge number of right angle gearboxes, maybe one that'll do the job directly.

Yes, Search EBay for speedometer cable adapter
There are nice new ones on ebay but with their size and shape, I still have the problem with hitting my oil filter adapter. Plus they are designed for auto speedometers and do not interface with the Lycoming. Unless I can acquire the adapter that Spruce sells, I'm possibly going to need to replace the oil filter adapter with the original Lycoming that sticks the filter straight back and not like the better kind from B and S, or others.

the one from Summit has the same problem, clearance from the oil filter adapter. I'm maybe going to bite the bullet and replace the filer adapter with the original Lycoming "straight out" version.

You could always install a Flight Data Systems T-30 tach that just senses RPM via the p-leads at the ignition switch instead of the UMA one that needs the tach generator. I have this in my airplane and I just recently installed one in another RV on the field. No complaints. Then you could just cap off your tach drive and be done.

I suppose you can't use the 1A3-4 that screws into the Slick magneto case?
The 1A3-4 is what I have that will not fit with my oil filter adapter. It screws into the tach drive on rear of engine. The T1A9 is the connection for a Slick or Bendix magneto, meanwhile I have P-Mags installed.

Use a gender changer and mount your electronic sender at the end the tach used to be, under the panel.
My sender only adapts to the tach drive on rear of Lycoming. I see no way the tach cable (square drive) could be changed over to emulate what is on the rear of the engine with the shaft with the tangs. My fall back position looks more and more like needing a different oil filter adapter with more room for the UMA sender. Good grief! thanks for your help., George

The square to round tang adapter from GM I mentioned above, GM 25032338
and one of these. This came up in my search https://www.ss396.com/part/SEN-CABLE.html picture below.

You would need a sender unit with a square tang drive. Not all do the same pulse per rev, so you need to be careful about that or see if your tach supports configuring it.

Or a speedo shop may be able to make a custom extension cable for you.

to blaplante: What is this short speedo cable assembly? This looks like something I could use as an interface between the Lycoming tach drive and my UMA sender if it has the square ends on each end of the cable which I can modify with the slip on ends with the tangs from Texas Industrial Electric. I'm assuming the threads are the same both ends. The nearest speedo shop is a long way away.
