Im having a hard time finding this. Does anyone have a set of planes they could Check. Much appreciated. Les
Not to question someone smarter than me, but I read 100-140 inch pounds. I just checked mine. Just finishing up my Condition Inspection.Standard torque for an AN-5 bolt / AN365-524 nut combination: 60-85 in-lbs.
Here's a copy of the standard AN bolt torque table 7-1 from the FAA publication AC 43.13-1B. This is your new best friend for finding standard AN bolt torques. Unless otherwise specified on the plans, everything gets torqued to these values.
Sounds like this might be a new to you -6A. If you do not have a set of plans that came with the airplane, you can get a set (in pdf form) from Van's.
Oops. You're right Larry. 100-140 in-lb from the first column......NOT the numbers from the second column. Not to question someone smarter than me, but I read 100-140 inch pounds. I just checked mine. Just finishing up my Condition Inspection.
