I haven't been an active CFI for quite a while, but I think that this is the first time I've seen touch-and-goes for a first solo!
Did three as well for my first solo back in 1986.
A student wrecked N704YE trying to do a touch and go at our field 12/01/99. He started driving the yoke instead of flying the pedals and lost it.
Now no touch and goes for pre-private students unless they are with an instructor at MOR. They make them do full stop landings.
