I would disagree; the swap-a-pack or "just fill up every few days" model is horrible from both a capital cost standpoint and a battery cost standpoint.
What makes an EV practical for daily driving is the ability to charge at home.
Road trips will still require fast charger stations, but charging speeds are getting fast enough it's just not a big deal, especially if you follow (again) recommended best practice of just charging enough to get to the next stop with margin, and not fill up all the way at each stop.
