I got a lengthy email update on my Lycoming TB 390 order. My order is from May 2022, with a build slot in June 2025.
Below is a line from the email on orders and timeframe.
“As of the date of this email, there are more than 400 engine orders for Van’s customers on Lycoming’s manufacturing schedule. The schedule for those engines runs through February 2026 for standard experimental (also called non-cert, or non-Thunderbolt) engine orders. For Thunderbolt engine orders, the production schedule is booked through June 2026. If someone orders an engine today it will be scheduled for the next available production slot, within approximately those timeframes.”
