Freestanding Wing Jig
…Capflyer’s setup
This is what I did and it was very sturdy. The diagonal brace on top kept everything in position. The 6x6 posts were anchored to the floor.

Construction Update …RossK
Well, after a bit of a forced break due to shipping delays, I'm back at it!
Wing kit arrived, finally.
2 nights to inventory, and put it all away - it's surprising how little space it actually takes up.
Although, I'm sure it'll take up more space when it's assembled

New Flap Actuator for the RV-8
Over the years in our business the most neglected customers have been those that needed a replacement for their RV-8 flap motor. As is well known, the RV-8 has a rather unique flap motor installation, different than all the other RVs. This makes a replacement actuator a challenge. We have...

Free Standing Wing Jig
Hi everyone. Just wondering if anyone has built a free standing wing jig. The ceiling in my workspace is very high, making it challenging to do a floor to ceiling post per the plans suggestions. And I am guessing (hoping even) that I am not the first to be in this boat? So please if you have...

Fuel unporting during forward slip
Hi folks I'm a new RV pilot (with a grin 😀) and while learning to fly it I ran into a fuel unporting effect. I was in a full right rudder slip and at about 500 AGL the dynon HDX alerted about the fuel level. It was a bit of an attention grabber because I was slipping with the "wrong" tank...

Old school RV-4 building , can it be done?
Hi Gang: My nephew picked up an abandoned RV-4 project which included the empanage and wing kit. We are now suffering from sticker shock on the price and delivery of the fuselage kit. 13,000.00 and one to two year delivery. I’m wondering if we should scratch build the fuselage. I can see...

RV-7A #73840
Well, I've officially started building an RV-7A I'm the third owner of this Kit and if you haven't read Vans warnings about buying older kits, particulary the bit about unboxed, original packaging you should. When I unboxed the kit for the first time in its 14 year life, this is the result of...

Rear Seat CT81F install
Anyone got any pictures or tips? Advice on how it interacts with the CT83F quadrant. I have the rear seat throttle kit from Vans and the fuse isnt at the canoe stage yet, so thought it would be a good time to have a look at this install.
