Here's the method I use, which of course is the best one around
The aviation tooling dept. of your nearest DIY outlet will provide you with a 2" plastic pipe... cut down to 3' and sliced in half, this will provide the perfect no-spill path for the oil to escape the slightly unscrewed oil filter.
No need to thanks me, saw this sometime ago on this forum

I’m a hinge guy, but the same thing would work with some tweaking for skybolts too.

"Blind" ADEL Clamp ...
... Think blind pop rivet - can be "set" with access to one side only. Once in a while you have the need to install an ADEL clamp where there is no access on the bottom mounting flange to "wrench" on a nut. Such as the case for these shown below - they go on pushrod tubes (between cylinders)...

Replacing remote oil filter with engine mount

Trailing Edge MCS
I’m setting up to MCS the trailing edge holes. I set the MCS on a piece of scrap metal to flush plus 7 clicks. When I MCK in the VA-140, the MCK meet when done from both sides. I’m using the Cleveland base to keep the MCS parallel to the surface. Is this normal?

Wiring PTT to Mic jack
I'm doing an avionics upgrade on my plane, adding a Ray Allen G405 stick grip and a Garmin GTR205xR into a new G3X setup. My question is, how do I wire the PTT from the stick grip? the stick grip has one white wire designated PTT and a common ground wire.

Empennage completion: attach everything and then disassemble for storage?
I've started to work on the tailcone. A completed empennage is not too far ahead! I assume it's a good idea to attach everything (without fully tightening the bolts) even if I need to disassemble the parts to save storage space. Is it what people usually do?

811 - longeron junction,
I have searched the plans and I’m sure I missed the instructions, or did I ? The junction where the Lingeron intersects 811, it appears it requires a bypass cut, either in the longeron or the stab attach bar. I’m thinking the Stab bar integrity is more important here, and the bypass slot...
