I have a RV3 with 0235 and the standard rear baffle mounted Vans oil cooler.
When I installed engine and oil cooler I just drilled a series of 1/2 inch holes
to let air into the oil cooler and keep the rear baffle strong expecting to enlarge inlet if needed. I also went with a spring and plunger instead of
vernitherm. I am now wondering if i need a oil cooler at all. On a warm day
(temp in 80's) I barely get 175 and only during a long flight. I put a total block on the rear of oil cooler and on a slightly cooler day (around 70) get only about 180 to 185. Does anyone have any experience/advice who have
had a RV3 with the 108/115hp 0235's.
Thanks
