Odd garmin 240 audio panel problem

walkman

Well Known Member
I'm finishing up my panel install and wiring the headset and mic jacks for the garmin 240 audio panel. I have an odd issue with the pilot side audio. Copilot side works fine.

Stereo headsets, in stereo mode, 2 headsets tested. On pilot side, intercom and nav/com audio is right side only. Audio is also degraded quality. But music input is stereo.

Anyone seen this! Jacks are wired right. Stein harness so I assume bench tested ok bY them......

Now this is weird.

While listening to atis on com 1 I turned off the audio panel and got radio in both ears.

Methinks Brantel is on to something here.

Now he needs to jump back in and explain what it is.

It sounds to me like something is screwed up with the failsafe function....

Call Stein first and see what they think. Garmin will also help you out with this. Steve is at Sun N Fun so he may be a little slow responding to this thread so I would call em.
