Fuel Line Replacement

I'm tracking a small weeping tank leak and may have tracked it down to a cracked flare on the selector to tank fuel line on the pilot side. Has anyone replaced this line with the empty tank in-situ? I can pull it, but the z brackets are not fun.(any tips appreciated). Not opposed to a flex line here if it would be a time saver. We tried a flare saver, but it still seems to weep.
