Compression fitting torque?

Kenneth

Hi all,

I'm in the process of putting together my first tank and am about ready to start permanently attaching some of the vent lines, pick-up, etc. but I have been unable to find a reference on how much to properly torque the compression fittings.

I thought I heard at one time to finger tighten them, then one more face of the nut, but I can't confirm that.

Anyone have the specs or know what is appropriate for these fittings?

Thanks in advance,

Don't know the torque, but these are NOT compression fittings, but rather flared couplings. I say this only to help ensure that others give you what you need.

Have a look at Van's SB

In Van's SB (here) about safety wiring the nuts on the pick-up tube are the following torque values :

AN818-4D : 50-65 in.lb
AN818-6D : 110-130 in.lb
