Anybody seen this before?

All of these seem to be sticky to the touch. It is not caused by a leak, everything is dry around them.

May possibly be some aromatic chemical reacting to the (synthetic?) rubber boots. I.e. brake fluid, carb cleaner; So possibly toluene, benzene or xylene. Some make the affected material sticky and soft, other chemicals cause crazing and embrittlement.

Either coolant or oil "misting" into the rubber boots. That's my guess! Maybe try to look down at the oil line and coolant line connections to see if they look "juicy" or "weeping".

Take a look at the bottom row of your coolant radiator.
