Banjo Fittings

I am probably way over thinking this but first time dealing with this type of fitting. I am going to install this into my beringer brake master cylinders are my questions;

1. Is the left item accurate that I will sandwich the banjo fitting between the two crush washers?
2. For the alignment holes of the bolt is there some marking somewhere I'm missing or should I just mark the top so I know where the holes are?
3. Once I connect to torque should I go to the torque spec and then tighten enough to align of the two bolt holes?

Appreciate the help, didn't want to guess this and the guides I found online essentially said "Align holes, torque to spec"

1. That is correct.
2. Doesn't matter the whole can be in any position it still allows flow within the banjo.
3. Just torque to spec

That puts me at ease, I didn't notice the channel inside the banjo until I read your response to number 2. Thank you!

It is really important the crush washers are in their annealed state or the fittings will leak. I fought this until I figured this out. I annealed with a torch being careful not to melt the washers. Heat them to a dull red, slightly orange, and let them air cool.
I was told that some of the washers may have been sitting for a while, even though they were bought brand new, and just naturally hardened.
You could really feel the difference as you tightened them between the hard washers and soft ones.
