To update the Xtreme.
1) Go to the XTreme webpage at
www.mglavionics.co.za and download the XTreme firmware file.
2) Unzip and extract the file to the SD card. You should have a file called XTreme.fw of 373.752 bytes on the SD card now.
3) Turn the power off to the XTreme, Insert the SD card and turn the power back on to the XTreme
4) The XTreme will prompt you to upgrade the firmware.
5) Please note that if upgrading from a version prior to 1.09 then you will have to load default settings. The screens will look a bit funny until you do this.
The navidata file containing your waypoints is generated by MGL Central. The navidata.ewd file must be put onto a SD card into a folder called Navidata. Then by pressing the 2nd most left button on the XTreme the waypoints in the navidata file will be displayed. The user can also manually enter his own waypoints by either using the XTreme itself or by using MGL central.
