I'm sorta missing having XM weather but the prices are insane considering how much I already get for free with ADS-B. Has anyone gotten XM to lower their subscription prices?

I know for xm radio the prices on the website are a joke and they will happily sell it to you for under $5/mo if you call and ask.

Never heard of any discounts on the weather. Seems ADS-B has not pressured their price any.

It's like most things. So far, XM weather seems to be a superior product. Although I too would love to see a subscription cost reduction, I'm willing to pay the tab for now.

ADS-B in has an equipment cost to amortize, so the FAA product isn't truly free. I say "for now" because at some future point we'll probably see better FAA product, and better/cheaper ADS-B equipment.

BTW, XM recent doubled the refresh rate.
