My left hand exhaust pipe broke in flight yesterday. It was a Toole crossover, probably the orignal system put on in 1987. I put the plane down at the nearest airport, Kelowna (I was transiting their control zone when it happened), and so the plane is tied down outside, an hour's drive from home.
Not sure it is repairable, or even if it is, whether I should repair it. I will talk to Larry Vetterman about it on Monday. In the meantime I wonder if anyone has a set of pipes for the -4 they are wanting to sell - need to get this back together ASAP.
Update: Vans had a Vetterman 4 pipe set in stock, bought them.
