Hi there,

I have noticed a few RV panels with a grey flat lever type flap switch (similar to the flap switch in a Diamond) and would love to get my hands on one. I can't easily determine if its just a cover for a regular toggle switch you can buy at Vans, or if it comes as a complete unit.

Does anyone know where I could get such a switch or switch cover?

Thanks,
Hugh.

Most I have seen, and mine, are home made. Take a piece of bar stock, drill a hole for the toggle. Drill a couple holes in the sides/ends and thread for set screws. Now spend some quality time with the belt sander and files. Buff if so inclined. Slide over toggle and tighten set screws.

I'm aware of two sources if you're not inclined to make your own. Avionics Hangar has a momentary down/on up flap switch for $89.00.

Gulf Coast also carries a similar switch for the same price.

I installed the Gulf Coast switch and do prefer the "on up" feature as oppossed to Van's switch which was momentary up and down.

WOW... at these prices I'm in the WRONG business!!
