During inventory of my wing kit, I found a mistake that I thought others might want to know about. Bag 420 should contain .7 pounds of AN426AD3-3.5 rivets. My bag has 3-3 rivets instead.
I don't think I would have caught the 1/32 difference until I had started riveting and wondered why all my rivets were just a little short. I was adding the leftover bits from the empennage kit to the containers of wing stuff and noticed the rivets didn't match. I had to break out the digital micrometer to confirm it.
Hopefully, it was a one-time mistake. I wouldn't have posted this but last night after discovering it, I kept imagining a giant hopper of rivets at Van's with the wrong size rivets being poured into 100's of bags. I'll call Van's this morning after they open.
