I got back into flying a year ago after a 30 year break, got my flight review and IPC in a Citabria and a Cessna 182 and have been looking at buying a plane. The 182 would fit my mission profile pretty well but I am not really enthused about buying a 182. After a fair bit of poking around, it looks like the RV-10 would fit the bill nicely. In addition to its ability to carry 4 people + bags with IFR capability, it seems like a fun airplane to fly.
I am planning to make a trip to Oregon to get a demo ride at the factory at some point but I was wondering if there is any RV-10 owner in the SF Bay Area that would be willing to show me their plane (and possibly take me up for a flight - of course I would be happy to share the expense). I am based near KPAO but would be happy to come to any of the Bay Area airports.
