I am wireing my RV7 and knowticed that in the diagram for the master switch there is not a hot wire to activate the silonoid. I have one running to the alternater, one to the silonoid, one ground, and one to the fuse buss. I'm wondering what is powering the silonoid? and why there is one that is ground? If I put a jumper from the battery to the silonoid to activate it the 12 gage wire gets hot within 5 sec.

thanks,
Nick

Ground activated!

The master relay is ground activated. It get the positive internally from the battery side connection. That's why your jumper wire got so hot!
