Fitting the first wing...

Changed my mind...put the metal ones on the bottom, but need to figure out a way to mount the wood ones up top...

I have these old wood wings from an EAA Sport Biplane in my hangar, and one of my buddies suggested these pics...I found it rather funny, and had to agree!

This is also another way to announce my wings are mounted!

;)

I feel a flame war coming on...

I can see it now. Our fellow RVators will jump on this.

- What does Van think of this modification?
- Will you prime the wood ribs and spars?
- How does this affect Vne, which as we all know, varies with altitude, time of day, season, and blood sugar?
- Is that a Lycoming under your cowl???
- If you have to exit the airplane in an emergency, will the upper wings impede your egress?

Thanks for the smiles

Hey, with the extra wing area you could double the GW and increase fuel fivefold!

Did that extra wing kit come pre-punched?

Congrats on getting the wings mounted!

He mounted these bi-wings, then changed his mind, took them off, changed his mind again, put 'em on, then ultimately changed his mind and took them off...going traditional! :D:cool:

Congrats Chad!
